louisiana confederate calvary

Looking for information about my great-grandfather's civil war service in the confederate army. His name is John Richard Tutt and lived in Arkansas. He was born 11-14- 1842 and died 11-6-1909 in Camden, Arkansas and is buried in Buena Vista cemetary, Ouachita county, Ark. His wife Laura Tutt applied for Widow's Pension on 7-13-1925 in Ouachita county Ark. and received $100.00 pension. The only proof of service is statements of his wife and of two men that knew that John Tutt served in Harris' Louisiana Calvary. He served from 1861 to May 1865. I have not found any records of John Tutt or of Harris' Calvary of Louisiana, which is what I am looking for. Family history says that his Father would not let him join the army, so he left home and went to New Orleans,La. to join up. Was said to have been at the seige of Vicksburg,Miss.
