Don,

From reading my grandfathers letters posted at the PoBoy site the best I can tell is the 7th Miss. Camp was "two miles north of the mouth of the Pearl River." I do not believe that any great number of troop s would have made it to the Kiln area.

In the book "To Live and Die In Dixie" by H. Grady Howell, I do not recall that area being mentioned, but will go back and double check.
