Do you know the name of his spouse? If so, that may help us. What is your source for his death at Okolana?

It is possible he may have enlisted in an Arkansas regiment or, or even another state. The more info you can provide us the better.

Meanwhile, Booth's records list this man who may be, in my humble estimation, a possible match. We have to remember Booth's Records aren't a complete copy of every soldiers service record...

Edwards, James, _ Co. C, 6th La. Cav. Appears on a List dated March 12, 1862.

Note: Company C was from the Bossier area. Since Booth shows nothing further on him we can't rule out this man as a possibility just yet.
