Hi-
This is a first visit for me. An ancestor of mine was wounded at the battle at Fort Bisland on Bayou Teche, April 13, 1863. I have found some few stats- Dyer's Compendium- and one magazine article about this fight. Is there a best source that anyone can recommend for information on this?
Is anyone who posts here a nearby resident? I'd like to know what, if any, trace of the site still exists.
