Re: Colonel Henry Forno, 5th Louisiana Infantry

Glenn:
I've been studying the descendants of my ancestor Thomas Conklin [1704-1793] of Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. His great-great-granddaughter was Maria Ketcham, born 14 March 1812 at Huntington, NY and died 10 November 1861 at Ponchatoula, LA. Somehow she & Henry met & married.
I have gathered some information of the children of Henry & Maria. I would be interested in hearing from you, Glenn. I have your Conklin ancestry back to John Conklin(g), a pioneer glassmaker in Salem, Massachusetts Bay Colony. He settled on Long Island during the 164Os.
Not too many Confederates in this line; thus my interest in Henry Forno, when I first came across him in John Hennessey's book "Return to Bull Run."
