Hello--
I am looking for information on the 2nd Louisiana Cavalry, Company K. My great (3) grandfather, Jean Baptiste Bergeron was a private in th company. It seems that he was paroled in 1863 around Port Hudson, and he seemed to disappear from the record. I am presumming that he was obligated to stay home and watch over his family, but I am just not sure. I have found very little on this regiment, and even less on company K.

Can anyone help to shed some light?

Arthur Bergeron, could you be a decendant of Jean Baptiste Bergeron?
