Re: Roberts Bayou and Bayou Rapides

I have been reading the OR's (Series I- Volume 34 Part 1 pages 585-592). These pages are reports made by Richard Taylor that were intended for Edmond Kirby-Smith. The reports, which Taylor called "animated fighting", take place 6-12 miles from Alexandria in the area around Roberts Bayou and Bayou Rapides.

I am also working a regimental history of Likens' 35th Texas Cavalry and hope to gain insight by visiting the area, but my ancestor fought in this area with Likens' 35th Texas Cavalry so I have a personal interest, too.

Can you please tell me where I could find directions to the marker at Henderson's Hill?

Sincerely,
William Bozic
