A Port Hudson question

I had two 3rd great grandfathers that died in the War far from home and their burial places were unknown to their families or lost over the years. I was able to locate the burial site of one and obtained a marker 144 years after his death. The other, Jermiah Rowland of Co A, 11/17 Arkansas Infantry, passed away March 8, 1863 at the Port Hudson hospital and according to this site http://www.lascv.org/r.htm was buried on the site of the battlefield.
As I understand it the site of the cemetery for the camp is unknown at this time. Is there any possibility of locating where the cemetery was or for placing a marker somwhere on the site? I know it is a long shot but I figure it is worth a shot.
Thanks for any ideas
