Col. Frank Bartlett

Looking for any information concerning the service of Col. Franklin A. "Frank" Bartlett. He commanded the garrison at Monroe before General Hebert returned from Texas, and later commanded the 13th La. Cav. when it attacked Union positions at Lake Providence. He never had a Confederate commission, but only one from the state. His widow was denied a pension on those grounds. Bartlett was a newspaper editor in New Orleans before the war.
