LA 3rd Infantry, Company H

Hello,
My great-great grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Allein. His unit was the LA 3rd Infantry, Company H. He was paroled in Shreveport in 1865. He lived in Madison Parish, LA, possibly near New Carthage. Although I have read some about this unit, which seemed to disband/reform again, would like to correspond with others who may have had ancestors in this unit. Would especially like to find a photo of the closest thing to what the uniform would have looked like. Thanks, Peggy Dyas
