After the war U.S. authorities scoured the country in search of Federal burial sites. All identified U.S. remains were removed to the nearest national cemetery, which in this case would be Alexandria LA.

I'm not sure about Confederate burial sites in the park, but any and all Federal burials should have been removed long, long ago. Check with the park authorities about this.
