Capt. Octave F.Vallette, Co.A LA.14th Inf. Algiers

My g-g-grandfather, Capt.Octave Francois Vallette, was named Capt. of the Algier Guards when his leader was injured with a bullet to the mouth. He was shot in the Atlanta Campaign and refused to allow them to cut off his gangreen arm. They moved on and left him for dead. I have an account of the incident written by Katherine Winters of Columbus,GA. The kind lady who found my g-g-grandfather and his Negro servant Henri and brought him to her home where she nursed him back to health. He returned home and fatherd eight children...one of them my great-grandfather.
My question is this, where is Lickskillet Rd, Atlanta,Ga. How many other Louisiana soldiers died here and may be buried. Were they taken to the Confederate Cemetery in Marietta or were they laid to rest around the church on Lickskillet Rd.? I would like to visit this site but can't
seem to find out just where is Lickskillet Rd. is. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
