I am a (poor) amateur historian and relic hunter. I am interested in the area between Memorial Stadium and the Orphanage which is bi-sected by I-110 when it turns east and then north. I am trying to locate the Union (or Confederate) camp sites in that area. Can anyone help?
I read the book on the battle of Baton Rouge by Thomas Richey. It seems to say that the battle when back and forth over that area. But, I am confused because there is a stream there now. Comments?
