The 1860 census is the only place I can find William P Gore. It says he was born in Louisiana. I have his marriage certificate to Mary Elizabeth Martinez. I don't know anything about them after the civil war. One of his sons (James) is my great grandfather. Do you know of a William P. Gore born in Clinton, Louisiana?
