I did speak with the Director of the Texas Civil War Museum in Fort Worth yesterday and it does appear that they do have the 2nd LA Cavalry flag captured on 21 March 1864 on Henderson Hill (Rapides Parish). I plan to talk to them again Tuesday (they are not open on Monday) to learn more of the flag's journey to Texas. It is an exciting find. I know we are all happy and relieved that it is an appropriate Civil War museum and venue.
