Came across this unit in reading about the BROOKHAVEN MISSISSIPPI EXPEDITION - 14-21 November 1864 From Baton Rouge.
Does anyone have information on this unit by this moniker? I know there is a "Gober's Mounted Infantry Regiment.' Is this the same unit?
