Same Guy?

Trying to figure up if this is the same guy -

In Gober's Mounted Infantry, Co E is made up of soldier's from Co B, 18th La Cav Battn. It shows that these men were from St Helena and East Baton Rouge Parishes, and a Capt Robert Emmet Corcoran was the commander.

Looking at Booth's, I found this person, is this the same one? The one in Booth shows him in 4th La Inf. Review of Bergeron's Book shows the Corcoran I am looking for being a company commander in a variety of Cavalry units. Of intersest is that he is a Company Commander in the 18th Battn, which was formed near Clinton, La, in early '64, just after he shown in Clinton.

Corcoran, Emett (also Corcoran, R. E.),Pvt. New Co. G. 4th La. Infty. En. May 25th, 1861, Tangipahoa. Present on all Rolls to June, 1863. Rolls from July, 1863, to Oct., 1863, Absent near Clinton, La., on 30 days' furlough. Furlough expired Sept. 7th. Present or absent, not stated on Roll for Nov. and Dec., 1863.

Thanks
