Thanks - I have a friend that is working on an NHL nomination for Camp Nelson in KY. Camp Nelson was the largest recruitment camp in KY for USCT. It might be that LA simply did not have one camp. The problem he's having is that many of the LA USCT regiments were mustered in in New Orleans, so was there one camp? As far as I can tell USCT recruitment and policy, like many thing in LA, were just different. He is trying to compare and contrast the efforts in KY with those in LA.
