Joe

With apologies for a second message, I meant to ask for the name of your ancestor in Co. F of the 2nd LA Cavalry.

Also, I do remember that several companies of the 2nd, including Co. F, were stationed along Bayou Boeuf near Cheneyville, at Holmesville and Evergreen, at a camp on Bayou Rapides below Lamothe Bridge, at Cotile (Henderson Hill), and along the Cane River at Monett's Ferry and 24 Mile Ferry from February to May 1865. They were ordered to go home approximately May 22nd (22nd or 24th) from Natchitoches, some men just going home and others going home after receiving written permission.
