There is a silk presentation flag at the MOC supposedly
belonging to the Jackson Greys (Co. K) of the 9th Louisiana.
This flag is inscribed "Presented by the Ladies of McBride Parish".
There is no political entity by that name.
I believe that "McBride Parish" is actually a Catholic Church Parish.
Does anyone know where this Church Parish is or might have been
in 1861?
