The information that I get is that David Crockett Paul and all the others that is stated to have been captured at Nachitoches is really captured at Henderson Hill near Hot Wells, the Union Army only went West as for as Henderson Hill and they never reached Nachitoches.

It is said David and the others were captured at Mr. W C. James's cotton barn.

Mr. Martin I hope that this helps you, I am trying to find all I can on David because his sister Sidney Paul married my Great Grandfather John H. Carruth.
