My Comments - from sites I have visited

The Alamo - there during Military Training - good site
Port Hudson - did a quick tour, nice site
Jackson Barracks New Orleans - I liked this one, lots of good stuff for the entire history of military in Louisiana. Not sure of current status, got wiped out by Katrina, but think it is open, not 100 %
National World War II Museum - Was there when it first opened, most stuff I saw while watching History Channel. Think it has expaned its artifacts and is much better now. Across the street from Memorial Hall.
Confederate Memorial Hall Museum - lots of flags and uniforms. Limited days open
Camp Moore Museum - small nice facility, shows the day to day use of the Camp when it was open. Limited days open.
