In 1850 and 1860 the three Veasey's (Alfred, Alcide and Alcibiabe) lived in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, near or in St Martinville. They lived with their mother (Adelaide Migues Veasey), 3 other brothers and 3 sisters. They are mentioned in the Booth Compendium (1920) and that info is as follows:

Booth, Andrew B. Records of Louisiana Confederate Soldiers and Louisiana Confederate Commands. New Orleans, LA, 1920, Vol. III, p. 917.

MARA M320 (CSR) indicates that Alfred was paroled in New Iberia, Louisiana (St Martin Parish in 1860, but now Iberia Parish) on 12 June 1865. In the 1870 (US Census), Alfred was living in New Iberia, Louisiana.

Hope this helps
