Chuck Dickerson,
My GGgrandfather was William H. Dickerson from Winn Parish who served in the 28th LA Infantry Co K (Grays), and who had a brother named John J. Dickerson. I've got a picture of a Confederate veterans reunion on the courthouse steps in Winnfield, (I think), that John J. Dickerson is in. William H. Dickerson had passed away by the time the reunion was held and the picture was taken. I got the picture years ago from a kind gentleman who I believe lived in Pennsylvania but had ties to Winnfield, LA. Both my GGgrandfather and his brother fought in the Battle of the Gunboat Diana where John J Dickerson was wounded. Both were POWs. If your GGgrandfather is the John J Dickerson from Winn Parish (there was another from the Monroe, LA, area), I could scan it.
I'm kind of shooting from the hip with this info, as I haven't actively researched this in years, but I still follow these message board updates and seeing the names thought I might be able to help. Let me know.
