Chuck, My great grandfather Barney Maxey and his brother Nathaniel lived in Bienville Parish until that portion of land was included in the new parish of Webster. South of Sibley and West of Heflin. They enlisted in Monroe in 1862 and were paroled in Mansfield in 1865. They were in Grays 28th Infantry. I believe this picture to be between 1900 and 1910. It is old and faded and broken in two. With a magnifying glass you can make out some of the faces. I have tried to scan it but it did not work. You would probably have to take it to a Photo shop and have them enhance it and make a copy. If you are interested in doing that let me know and I will contact you for details.
He had two other brothers Raymond and Henry who enlisted in the 9th Infantry in Bienville Parish. All survived the war except Raymond who died in Richmond Va.
