Good Evening, All:

It has been an interesting week as my colleague Jon Lane and I continue our examination of the primary sources on Colonel Henry Walker and the 4th Massachusetts Regiment. I was last week at Carlisle Barracks in Carlisle PA looking for such sources. We received an exceptionally cordial reception and as soon as the nature of our research was known. Dr. Arthur Bergeron was sent out to us, the same gentleman who is known to this site as "Art Bergeron". We talked for almost an hour about various topics from General Banks to the mechanics of the attack on Priest Cap at Port Hudson of 14 June as well as including some of Bob Carney's questions. Dr. Bergeron was very kind and patient with our many questions.
