Just by chance, I did a search for a soldier at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), "Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System". It appears that the Union Service Records for Missouri Soldiers are online, even though in their listing of records online Missouri is NOT included.

Perhaps this is "brand new" and the records exist but they haven't updated the information to reflect this addition.

This will really be a terrific research aid for those looking for Sons of Missouri who fought under the Stars and Stripes.
