We are looking for information on our ancestor's unit. He was Lindsay Theodore Sapp, b. 1839, listed as pvt Company B. He lived in Pike Co. IL. I'm told that there is a rare book published in 1865 about 3rd Cav. We would like to know where formed, action, whose command etc. Several brothers enlisted in IL. Thanks.
