Claiborne,

How exciting it is to hear from a living descendant of some of Quantrill's men! The main sources in which I have read information about Boone and George T. Scholl are:

O.S.Barton, "Three Years With Quantrill," (John McCorkle's memoirs), recently reprinted, pp. 58, 68-9;

Donald R. Hale, "We Rode With Quantrill," 1970s, Clinton, MO: The Printery, pp. 137, 145;

the 1884 history of Callaway County, MO, p. 390;

Birch, "History Quantrell [sic]," (memoirs of Harrison Trow), 1923, Vega, TX, p. 105.
I notice the households of Marcus Scholl in Blue Township, Jackson County in the 1860 MO Census, and several Scholl households in the Williamsburg and Fulton areas of Callaway County; but I am not sure if Boone and George relate to them. Perhaps you know.

Please contact me privately at Mapmaker3@aol.com and I will give you a timeline of Boone's and George's wartime activities as given in the above sources. I have taken up enough space here.
