I am looking for any information on David Kelsey Shepherd born abt. 1828 in Floyd Co. Ky. I have a copy of a pension application card lists his wife as Ada Shepherd. Service section says F 14 Mo Cav. A published article about his brother George B. Shepherd states that David organized a regiment of homeguards in Stone Co. Mo., it also states that he was killed at Linn Creek Missouri in the war. I have found a gravesite in the Jefferson Barracks Cem in St. Louis Mo for David K Shepherd died Feb. 1863, not sure if it is him as St. Louis is quite a ways from Linn Creek. Any help appreciated.
