I have been looking for information on this Company, and have had no luck at all!! My ggrandfather, George T. Hoffman, was a private, fought for the Union side from his enlistmant in March, 1862 until his discharge in St. Louis in March 1865. The little information that I have says that he, for a time, engaged in guerilla warfare in Missouri and was engaged in all the important engagements in connection with efforts toward capturing Price. Perhaps, if I knew my history better, I could place him in specific battles. Does anyone know anything about Co. L, 1st Mo. Cav. - or (if dreams come true) George T. Hoffman/Huffman? He had brothers, Lewis and Curtis.
