The Cobbs were from around Montogomery County Missouri if I remember right. Alvin has a history as a recruiter in north central MO and was one of those 2nd tier guerilla fighters. I'll see what I can dig up. Mr. Nichols is likely the expert however. Montgomery county history has several references to Alvin's activity and at least one for "Ike" Cobb
