I posed this question over on the arms board but thought I would ask it here as well. I am looking into the story of Mollie Wigginton who with her brother William (or Wallace?) Wigginton smuggled pistol caps out of Illinois and into Missouri and to their brother George "Bud" who rode with Quantrill. What does anyone know about this story and where did William get these caps for Mollie to bring back? He escaped from Alton prison in 11/63 and was recaptured in 11/64. He was recaptured in Concord IL. From the info I have previously gathered, William at one time or another used an alias of William Wallace. Any help with these questions is truly appreciated! Thanks!
