In Response To: Julian Kimberlin ()

Julian rode with his brothers, including Samuel Kimberlin, with Quantrill after the hanging of their father, Richard Samuel Kimberlin. He was hung in his barn by Pennick's men, in front of the wife and children. Their home and barn was burned to the ground. The yankees thought he was a southern sympathizer but in reality he was neutral. Neutrality ended that day, as the four sons rode with Quantrill. This happened in Nov of 1862. Julian married Eudora J. Dutton . I have since found newspaper articles written by Julian. He also wrote an article in the Confederate Veteran about his father. I haven't found any other military service record for him. Found on the web that his brother Samuel went from Quantrill to Sterling Price; then Stonewall Jackson . Will continue to search and would welcome your information as well. Please contact at statonfamily@hotmail.com
