Hi. My grandfather was William Jordan Joseph Smith the II, and his father was William Jordan Joseph Smith. My great grandfather was married to Ada Williams, the daughter of Lucinda Beckley Williams and Col. W.L. Williams. You may already know this but Lucinda wrote a personal history that was published by the Texas Women's Baptist Association. It was titled "Golden Years" and chronicled her journey to Texas and her courtship with Col. Williams. I am looking for a birth certificate or some printed reference to my grandfather's birth . Any help is appreciated.
