Hi Don, Thanks for the reply! My Botts line comes from Jackson Co., TN, then later, Monroe / Barren Co, KY... Most were lawyers. There was an unrelated line of Botts in the same (KY) area that tended to be physician's. I think many of them relocated to MO, after the war. Not sure what area. They say we originally (Late 1700 - early 1800's) come from VA, but haven't had any luck making the connection. hb
