He is listed in History of Boone County as a bushwacker riding with Drury Pulliam and involved with the capture of Maj Rollins in 1863. (pg 430) and on pg 1003, He again is reported to be running with a Pulliam, John Brown, and an unkonwn Turner in Dec 1863 robbing a store or two.... I.E he would have had his dues paid with the right folks to be guiding a bunch south by 1864. He shows up for a reunion in Moberly per the SOS files and lists himself as being part of Woods Battalion.
