I feel certain that he was buried within Franklin County but no record remains and all are deceased who might have known. On a old plat of the Cheatham Cemetery SW of Union, Mo. there is a Howard plot which I suspicion may contain his grave. Many slaveholders and Supporters of the Confederacy are known to have been laid to rest in that Family Cemetery due to resentment locally as encouraged by the Federal Militia. In some cases going so far as to allow no man to help with the burial and thus requiring the women of the family to do so and sometimes during the night hours. Thank you for your inquiry .
