Kate King Quantrill
In Response To: Thanks *NM* ()

Sorry Don. Fletcher Taylor did not say Quantrill and Kate borrowed his horse in Howard County. Kate was not married or divorced to a man by the name of Woods. She did have a daughter by the name of Bertha but it was not by Woods. Someday you'll find the true story of Kate when I include it in my future book about Quantrill's time in Kentucky. Her information will take up an entire chapter. After writing three books on Quantrill I have a ton of information on Kate and have been in contact with her relatives. You are right. She did live an interesting life during and after the Civil War.
