Yes, I'm familiar with that version of her burial -- it comes from Paul Peterson's "Quantrill Of Missouri." Aside from all the documentation that she was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, there are these points to consider about that fairy tale:

(1) The alcoholic son of the original owners of the Ketterlin funeral home abandoned it in the 1950s (over 20 years AFTER Kate's death).

(2) Arthur Dealy was NOT related to Kate. A few years ago I had extensive correspondence with Kate's great-great nephew. Between us we were able to assemble a complete genealolgy of that family, from her grandparents to the present, and Dealy was notably absent.

(3) Although both Ford and Dealy are both long deceased, another local historian who had known them both told me that they had told him that the stone they had placed between her parents' graves was simply a memorial stone.
