Charles or Quarles??
I have a William M. Charles as Ensign Jan. 1862 to March 1865.
I have also found in a casualty report dated July 1, 1864 a
"W. M. Qualls" listed as Color-Corporal and wounded "slightly
in right side" I have also seen this name spelled "Quarles".
Is this the same man or two different individuals??
