Herman Jungclaus of Brazeau Perry Co, Mo married Geschi Stueve in 1859. They had sons Frederick and Herman and several others children. SHE and HE both survived the war, without question. Thus not a husband and wife in the war tragedy story.

Now for Charles Junghaus of Co E 3rd Reg Mo Infantry who did die at Resca GA and was re-interred at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
He is listed as Charles Jungermanns:
This still begs the question was Charles the "lady" refered to in the newspaper article? Maybe but he/she does not appear to be related to the Herman Jungclaus of Perry Co MO though I expect they knew each other serving in the same company E of the 3rd MO Infantry.
