Could part of the confusion be because there is a town named LINN south of Jefferson City, and also, LINN CREEK was the county seat of Camden County at that time? Just an idea...Both of those locations are much closer to Lebanon (Laclede County)...in fact, Camden Co. is just one county north of Laclede.
