Thank you so much for your reply. This is the first information I have read that essentially agrees with his statement on his pension application. I certainly didn't have any reason to doubt his statement, but it is nice to read basicly the same information from someone else's research. While I have no proof at all where he was captured at Fort Davidson, I am presuming it was on the hill since that seems to be where the information about the battle indicates Union prisoners were taken.
