I received an e-mail from Don's daughter, Amy, that Don passed away Monday, May 30, 2011. He had been battling cancer for approximately 2 years. He was a frequent visitor to this board. He and I e-mailed each other a lot about Quantrill and his men. Don was related to several of them and he enjoyed looking up the relationships to several of the men. I will miss him a lot.
