The Missouri in the Civil War Message Board

I also received an email about Don's passing and will miss his messages on this board and all the emails I received about how we were related and the various interrelationships of our Kentucky, MIssouri and Kansas families. He was a great help to me in understanding the Border War and Civil War and the roles of Col. Upton Hays and Quantrill and our mutual relatives who were involved in the conflict. The Watts Hays Letters of the late 1850's and 1860's supports his contention that the Kansas Union forces pillaged, killed and destroyed property in Missouri for profit and vengeance.
