I have a digital copy of the 1865 Military Map of Cape Girardeau. It shows houses, forts, drainages, etc. It even includes individual cannons in the forts. I can also offer to help straighten out the fractured history of the Battle of Cape Girardeau. The accounts are confused and contradictory (nothing new) and subsequent retellings have only confused the issue worse.

Several years ago I wrote a driving tour to the CW sites of Cape. It was published (still available) by the Convention and Visitors Bureau. It has a good (in my opinion) representation of the battle lines that day.
