As usual very elloquently put Bruce. A genuine effort can be made, but a project that can only take a great deal of time in the doing. I can only add one thing to your presentation and that is the fact that disease took a heavy toll along with starvation. Just examining the records of all the regiments involved in Missouri one will see on the rosters at least an average of twelve-percent loss to various diseases. When you add this to those KIA or through blood feuds then it becomes an awesome task.
