Re: Total fatalities from MO guerrilla warfare?

Bruce:
I tend to agree that measuring Missouri War deaths by category's would be the best approach, though a longer process. In reading the Laclede Co., History (as Bruce says, 'A mind numbing experience') I came across a mention of losses to Guerilla activity where a Sheriff R. B. Harris, Lieut. Johnson and two other men were captured on the Osage Fork by a party of Guerrillas, and after surrendering they were brutally murdered - two being hung and theother two had their throats cut.' There is no date given for this incident. If the facts stated are true this was indeed a guerrilla action, yet it would seem more personal in its execution. If I missed it I appologize Bruce, but I don't see this incident in any of your books.
