I have hammered every source I can think of to find if Quantrill and his men were ever due west of Sibley in the Atherton area. Atherton is about 5 miles west of Sibley, right next to the Missouri River. I wondered if the guerrillas had ever crossed the river there or had been active in that part of Jackson County.

Anyone have anything on Atherton??
